We Get Letters!

We are constantly amazed by the insightful
responses we receive from our 4th grade visitors. Following are a few of their remarks after visiting Historic Forks of the Wabash. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

I thank you very much for letting us come to Forks of the Wabash. My favorite part was the music lady because she taught us how to play the dulcimer.
Sincerely,
Caleb

Thank you for the cool field trip. The part I liked best was the Canal boat and the lock. One thing I learned was that the canal lock works like an elevator for boats. I also like the school house. Who knew how many chores kids had to do.
Sincerely,
Matthew

Thank you for letting us come to Historic Forks of the Wabash. My favorite part was the Chief's house. I wish my house was like that. I hope you like my picture.
Sincerely,
Tommy

I enjoyed coming to the Forks of the Wabash. I liked it when you call me up, (Victor) and I was the captain for the Henry Etta May. I loved it there.
Sincerely,
Victor

We enjoyed the field trip a lot. After we got back to school everybody was talking about how good it was.
Sincerely,
Jeremy

We enjoyed our trip to the Forks of the Wabash. My favorite part was the school house even though the teacher is grouchy. I learned what a pioneer school is like.
Sincerely,
Jon

Dear Marm Teacher,
Thanks for telling me what it was like back in those times. It must have been hard to wake up at 5:00 in the morning and doing all those chores. I had fun at the schoolhouse. I want to go again.
Sincerely,
Colin

We enjoyed our trip to the Forks of the Wabash. I liked the school because now I know how early they had to get up and the teachers were mean. But I liked it anyway. It's not like the schools today, nothing at all except for the teachers.
Sincerely,
Amanda
